14 Oklahoma football players have COVID-19

Add Oklahoma to the list of college football programs dealing with a coronavirus outbreak.The university announced Wednesday that seven of the 111 football players tested Monday were found to have COVID-19. Seven other players had tested positive before Monday.School officials added that two of the 14 players have since recovered.Football staffers also were tested and two of 72 had positive COVID-19 tests.The school’s protocol for the return of football players to campus amid the pandemic calls for players testing positive to be quarantined on campus, with meals and academic services provided, according to the Oklahoman newspaper. Staffers with the coronavirus must quarantine at home.
